Amy, I've just read your article and think I can be of some help. Senaille (c.1687-1730) was a French composer and eminent violin soloist, living during the rococo period within the baroque. He wrote many violin sonatas - more than 45! His pieces combine both French and Italian styles of writing. The Italians influenced the length of the sonata and its structure. Early French sonatas tended to be quite short and lacked real substance - the Italians' focus on structure allowed the sonatas to become longer and gave the pieces more depth! I hope this helps!
